No one likes it. But sometimes it is necessary to restrict or close parts of the County Road(s) for necessary improvements. Safety is always our first priority when we close a county road. In most cases, and where possible, traffic will be maintained.
Our goal is to notify the local authorities, 911, the Sheriff's Office, Logan Daily News, and the local radio station seven days prior to any restriction or closure. This is not always possible due to inclement weather and unforeseen emergencies. If an emergency should arise and the road must be closed prior to the 7 day notification, we will contact 911, Sheriff's Office and the local radio station. Sometimes the information given to the media is missed by the traveling public. To better assist those traveling within the county, our "News Release", "Current Construction" and "Road Closures" tabs on the left provides the latest up to date information on where road construction, time delays and road closures are occurring.
Safe travels. If you have a question about a road closure, please call for fastest response during our normal business hours: Monday through Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm.
